We specialize in correcting your body’s misalignments. Our goal is to make sure your spine and the rest of your body are working together. To do that, we’ll help you build a plan that combines light stretching, some exercise, chiropractic care and a healthy diet.

Dr. Jason R. Brown, D.C. took over Reston Healing Center from Dr. Rick Wirtanen. He works with a lot of kids, athletes and families, and has treated patients from newborns to 102 years old.

About an hour of hands-on care

A lot of chiropractic visits are five minutes and out the door. Ours aren’t. Most visits are about an hour in the office: spinal work with Dr. Jason, then muscle work, stretching and exercises with Dr. Jason or one of our therapists. We’re working on you the whole time, not leaving you on a machine.

The care plans are customized, and so is each session. It’s not a cookie-cutter chiropractic visit.

Conditions we see great results with

Pain shows up in one place, but the cause is often somewhere else. We look for the cause, then build a plan around it. Patients come to us for:

A real example

One recent patient is a mechanic at a repair shop. His low back pain was so bad he could barely work. He felt better after his first visit. Now he gets therapy and an adjustment every two weeks, and that keeps him working.

Proven spinal correction

We provide proven spinal correction using “classical” chiropractic techniques. Our diagnostic and correction methods are safe, comfortable and effective.

Techniques used in the office include Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Palmer knee chest, Kale knee chest, Logan Basic and instrument adjusting (lighter adjusting). These give a wide range of adjustment types. It’s a bit like choosing anything from a breakfast blend to a double-shot espresso.

More than the spine

Dr. Jason is a sports chiropractor, and he treats a lot of extremities, like shoulders, knees, feet and ankles, as well as the spine. Your visit can also include therapeutic exercises, kinesio taping, hands-on massage therapy and our heated roller bed.

Your first visit

It starts with a free 10–15 minute consult with Dr. Jason. Tell him what’s going on and ask anything. If you want to go ahead, we give you the price for your exam, digital X-rays and adjustment before anything happens: our cash price, or your price if we work with your insurance.

We work with some insurance plans and are out of network with most. We accept Medicare, but not Medicaid, and we don’t take personal injury cases. See payment options.

Will I have to keep coming forever?

It’s one of the questions Dr. Jason hears most. He thinks of himself as the mechanic for your body: the goal is to keep it running as well as it can, for as long as it can. Your plan is built around your goals. Some patients come for a set plan, and some, like the mechanic above, choose regular visits to keep working.

The conservative first step

Dr. Jason wants to be the first person you see for treatment, and the most conservative. The goal is to keep you away from surgery and get you back to what you love to do. If he can’t help you, he’ll get you to someone who can.
