We treat causes, not symptoms. Your headache, low back pain, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis or sciatica is a symptom. Something caused it, and finding and fixing that cause is what we do best, with natural treatments and no drugs or surgery.
We provide proven spinal correction using “classical” chiropractic techniques. Dr. Jason Brown has years of training, experience and success in correcting patients’ healthcare issues.
Techniques used in the office include Kale knee chest, Palmer knee chest, Diversified, Gonstead, instrument adjusting and Logan Basic. They allow a wide range of adjustment types, a bit like choosing anything from a breakfast blend to a double-shot espresso.
Dr. Jason is a sports chiropractor. Sports injuries often go beyond the spine, so he treats a lot of extremities, like shoulders, knees, feet and ankles, with extremity adjusting, kinesio taping and rehab exercises.
Where the pain shows up often isn’t the area that needs treating. Our rehabilitation program includes strength, flexibility, agility and coordination work to get you back to full participation.
Massage therapy offers a natural, conservative treatment approach. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy tailored to your discomfort: sports and active-stretching massage, not a spa massage. Our therapists work in harmony with Dr. Jason as one team.
Accidents happen every day: falls, car accidents, bicycles, dogs pulling your arm, getting hit by a wave at the beach and, of course, sports injuries.
When we ask patients if they’ve been in an accident, most say no, because most people think of an accident as something that lands them in a hospital or emergency room. Survivable accidents fall into two categories:
You are hospitalized. This is serious and your MD knows best what to do. After the MD releases you, it is time to see the chiropractor.
You go to the ER and you are released. See a chiropractor right away.
We’re trained to properly assess you after a trauma that causes pain but no broken bones, and to get you back to the bike trail, the soccer field, the beach or whatever you were doing.
If you’ve had a motor vehicle accident, contact us as soon as possible for a consultation. Delaying treatment is not advised. Please note that we do not accept personal injury cases; see payment options.
We offer specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices, and a structured nutritional program based on your needs, to help you maintain a healthy weight and regain optimal health.
If you’re experiencing pain in your feet, knees, legs or back from shoes with little to no support, custom Foot Levelers orthotics may be right for you. They align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position, and they’re made just for you.
One of the most important elements of chiropractic care is diagnostics. Chiropractic radiology helps rule out pathology (such as a possible tumor or fracture) and shows where to adjust the spine.
X-rays aren’t used for every patient. In most cases the chiropractor can tell what’s happening in the musculoskeletal system without imaging. As a general guideline, X-rays are recommended:
After a significant traumatic injury, when a bone may be broken or a joint dislocated
If an infection may be causing the pain
If any significant disease is suspected, such as cancer or a possible tumor
If joint disease is suspected, such as arthritis causing joint pain
If the patient is over 50 and has had any trauma, even a minor one
For most patients over 65
For anyone diagnosed with, or at risk for, osteoporosis, to identify or rule out a vertebral fracture
For any suspected spinal instability
If long-standing pain hasn’t responded to previous treatment
During your appointment, we’ll decide whether X-rays are necessary.
Kinesiology taping is a precise rehabilitative taping technique that supports the body’s natural healing process while giving support and stability to muscles and joints, without limiting normal range of motion.
Kinesio tape is latex-free and hypoallergenic, so it’s skin friendly for sensitive or fragile skin. You can wear it for several days, even in the shower or pool. It’s safe for patients from pediatric to geriatric. By gently lifting the skin, it helps relieve pain and supports lymphatic drainage, which can decrease inflammation in the affected area.
To see if kinesio taping is right for you, set up an appointment for your own evaluation.
